Hey Y'all this is just a quick pencils sketch, I did the other day.... LOL! No really it took me nearly two hours but I am really proud of how this pencil drawing turned out.
As you can see it a drawing of a baby holding a mother's hand... the drawing is supposed to represents security. I spent a lot of time trying t get this just right.. I spent quite a while looking at picture online to get the anatomy just right for the baby's hand.. the fingers are chubbier on a baby and the joints of a hand, (where the fingers bend) are a lot more dominate in a baby's and then in a full grown adults hand.
It would seem that the younger the subject you are drawing the more "chubby" the features are, this includes hands, feet, even arms and legs are this way.. studying the anatomy of a child before drawing them is good, overall they are easy to draw. I've been working a lot on sketching hands, my weakness.. so even just basic drawings are helping me improve a lot.. personally I think I've come far and am proud of this.
