My First Three Paintings, Paitning Manga..!

Hey y'all!
These last few days, (3 or 4 now) I've been going through a bit of a loss of inspiration, though I've slowly but surely been getting it back. Mom's new boyfriend is quite inspiring and annoying depending on how you look at it.

As I said in my last blog post my Mom's boy friend bought me acrylic paints, I have been experimenting with them already. I have been enjoying this experience and I love the feel of painting, it's challenging at times, especially when you are trying to get clean cut lines.. I'm finding it quite difficult. Paints are even more difficult to work with then pencils, or markers, or pens. In pencil you can erase quite easily, in pens and marker you can cover it up with the same colors without too much notice. Paint is harder to "cover up" but possible... as I have been finding out. I have only been messing around for a little while, and only worked for a few hours all together, maybe 5-6 at most.

Here are my first three paintings, let me know what you think! I can see a lot of room for improvement, and will work towards it! I have also really been enjoying my coffee lately, and drinking it in my new coffee cup from London!!

Cartooning, Manga, Paints, & Mom's New Boy Friend! Oh My!

Hey Y'all!

Sorry it's been a bit, my practice sketch days are not going as I had hoped, and a lot of other things have come up. Mom's boyfriend Rawle, from the UK is staying with us.. he is very nice, and cheerful. He also bought me those paints I had been wanting, it took a lot on my part to even let him... I'm guessing he spent around $30 on my supplies because he likes my art.. kinda strange, I've never me a guy like him, he doesn't get mad, or annoyed, he helps out around the house, he is sweet and caring and loves to laugh. Like I said it's strange for me, I didn't know there were guys like him that existed out there, really awesome.

So now that I have my supplies I can't wait to get started, but I am also going to be taking my time and taking this painting seriously.. I want to get good at it and I want to have fun. I run several places that are to gather info, tutorials and videos for learning how to draw a variety of subjects and styles, while I find these, review them and post them, write them whatever, i hardly have time to use the resources myself, to follow my own advice.  This is why I am not improving with my art at a rate that I am happy with, I'm not learning, and I'm not practicing. I have gotten very down lately and not having a lot of time for my art but that needs to change. I am going to continue to try and fit in as much time for drawing as possible and will post any finished results here for you all to see!
